Language is Everything
Language is Everything are a translation service based in Hull, with a dedicated team of translators and customer service representatives. Their main customer base are non-English speakers who require assistance from the public sector, such as social workers or doctors. The main barrier between them getting the help they need is language.
Language is Everything approached me with the need for a brand refresh, as they were expanding their team and developing their professional translation services for a more global audience. They wanted something professional, yet friendly.
The most important aspect of the business was their professionalism when dealing with their thousands of daily customers. But they didn't want anything too corporate or sterile that might feel unapproachable.
In order to achieve this, I introduced circles and wavy lines to add soft edges, as well as a fresh blue gradient. Flowing wavy lines weave between text and imagery, reflecting the nature of communication and translation, moving from one point to another in a fluid motion.
I created a logo that continues with that theme, using rounded edges and a subtle speech bubble in the L to represent communication.
